Best KDrama Romance Action Series
How I Discovered Kdrama
I first got into KDrama around 2016 or 2017. My mom recommended I watch Healer, and that was the turning point. I can’t remember if I started with The Rise of the Phoenixes (a CDrama) or Healer (a KDrama), but one thing is clear: Healer completely hooked me.
Why Healer Stands Out
Well, I have to say I luv this show soooo much! I like the plot, the romance, and the suspense of the series and how it is only one season and 16 episodes. I mean… what!?! 😮 Coming from watching Hollywood (American) shows and watching Bollywood (Indian) movies. The compact storytelling shocked me at first, but it’s part of what makes KDrama unique.
- Genre blend: Action, romance, suspense, and mystery.
- Strong chemistry: Ji Chang‑wook (Seo Jung‑hoo / Park Bong‑soo / Healer) and Park Min‑young (Chae Young‑shin / Oh Ji‑an) deliver unforgettable performances.
- Global appeal: While ratings in Korea were modest, Healer gained huge popularity overseas, proving the power of international KDrama fandom.

Synopsis of Healer
“Healer” follows a skilled night courier who uncovers a decades‑old conspiracy with the help of a spirited reporter and a principled journalist. The series balances thrilling action with heartfelt romance, making it one of the most beloved KDrama classics.
My Personal Review
I luv the main leads and feel that their chemistry is top notch 🙌🏿 To be honest, till this day, I still prefer them together as lead actors. Ji Chang-wook as Seo Jung-hoo / Park Bong-soo / Healer and Park Min-young as Chae Young-shin / Oh Ji-an.
I heard that when this show was airing it didn’t get much attention and popularity in Korea but did really well overseas. I’m glad that the ratings during that time didn’t affect the production of the series and how it was wonderful done in creating this world.
Dunni’s Ranking 10/10 🫶🏿
