What Scripture Says About Lukewarm Faith

In Revelation 3:16 (AMP), the Bible warns:

So because you are lukewarm (spiritually useless), and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of My mouth [rejecting you with disgust].

This verse reminds us that half‑hearted faith is not enough. Being lukewarm means trying to live for Christ while still clinging to sin.

My Experience

  •  In college, I struggled with compromise.
  •  I wanted the joy of salvation but also the thrill of worldly living.
  •  Over time, I realized God’s grace was calling me to choose Him fully.
I don’t care what others think about my faith because I know how my Heavenly Father has been so goooood to me and the blessings I’ve received these past few years. Today, I live wholeheartedly for Christ. I’m not here to judge anyone, that’s God’s job, what I’m sharing is my experience and I pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to you like He did for me.

Why You Don’t Have to Stay Lukewarm

If you feel like your group of friends are going different directions then you; that’s okay, there are seasons where you’ll be alone for Jesus to call you out of the environment that is not working for your destiny. Trust me, I know, it’s not easy but keep the faith and return back to why you accepted Jesus as your savior.

He knows the plans He has for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans for hope and a future –  Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV).

This is my favorite scripture that I meditate on daily to encourage my soul. I ask you to read this scripture in any Bible version and declare it over your life. Your Heavenly Father is calling you to come back home for good!

Reflect

  •  Are you doing things in your life and feeling a tightness in your chest and a stirring in your spirit? If yes, the Holy Spirit is convicting you of your actions/behavior.
  • Can your friends differentiate you as being a true follower of Christ? If not, then you need to recommit your life to Jesus.

Prayer

Lord, I come into Your courts of Heaven giving You praise and honor. You are the creator of Heaven and earth, land and sea, and I seek Your presence. I come before You asking You to forgive me of my sins and ask for Your mercy and grace over my life. I will no longer be a Lukewarm believer and will serve and obey Your commands all the days of my life. I shall dwell in the house of the Lord and be transformed my the renewing of my mind by read Your word daily. Today, I make a decision to come back into Your arms as Your child and will be part of the Body to grow the Kingdom of God, in Jesus name, I pray. Amen.
